Sedona Energy Labs Opens Manufacturing Facility in Flagstaff

L to R: Production Foreman Tom Burley, Mechanical Engineer Lauren Ray, Product Designer Scott Moore, CEO Mark Scanlon and Marketing VP Alan Hochman in front of Sedona Energy Labs’ new manufacturing facility in Flagstaff.New facility will manufacture the InteliTrack line of patent-pending dual-axis tracking systems that produce the maximum possible power from solar arrays.

Sedona Energy Labs (SEL), which is a Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NACET) incubator company, has opened a manufacturing facility in Flagstaff.  A green technology company, SEL designs and manufactures the InteliTrack™ line of dual-axis solar tracking systems.

The InteliTrack boosts the energy output of solar panel systems by 40% or more, always generating the maximum possible power in any location.  SEL will build two models at the Flagstaff facility, the IT1500 designed for rooftops, parking lot shade structures and other lightweight applications, and the IT2000 for large, ground-mounted applications, designed to accommodate the largest solar panels available.

Founded in President Mark Scanlon’s garage in Sedona a year and a half ago, the company moved to NACET last year and launched its product line at the Solar Power International trade show in Los Angeles in October.  “The response has been overwhelming and we are running just to keep up,” said Scanlon.  “We are getting inquiries and requests for quotes from all over the US and also from Europe and even the Middle East,” he said.  The company recently hired a start-up production team and will hire additional workers as orders build.  “We love being in Flagstaff.  Everyone has been incredibly supportive - the city, the county, NACET and NAU have made it possible for us to succeed.  This couldn’t have happened anywhere else,” said Scanlon.

SEL Launches Patent-Pending Technology

Sedona Energy Labs today announced InteliTrack™, its new line of dual-axis solar tracking frames. The line includes the IT1500 designed for lightweight applications and IT2000 designed for commercial/industrial installations. Based on patent-pending technology, “these new systems enable solar arrays to generate a 40% or greater increase in power produced, compared to fixed solar frames,” said Mark Scanlon, Founder and CEO. “This shortens project payback by about half and raises typical project ROI from single digits to the mid-teens.”
